CHOP accomplishes this through various activities including its popular college fair program which merges Hip-Hop with education.
History
Realizing the importance of education and the power of Hip-Hop, founder Carlos Coleman sought to create a program that would use the
undeniable influence of Hip-Hop to encourage today's youth to complete high school and pursue higher education. Through his vision, and fundamental belief that all students deserved to be exposed to a variety of post secondary institution,The Community Hip-Hop Outreach "Project College Fair" was created in January 2002. Three years later Coleman Pleadged is life to the cause "Education for All" and later formed the Company in 2005 as the Community Hope Outreach Program Corporation.
